Don’t miss a unique tour that the Museums of Sitges are offering, pairing art and wine, as part of the Sitgestiu summer cultural festival that runs through July and August.
The ‘art and wine’ guided tour takes place on the evening of Friday 4 August, and is available in English (from 7pm), Spanish (7.30pm) and Catalan (8pm).
This guided ‘wine tasting and story-telling’ is a collaboration between the Museums and the Malvasia Interpretation Centre of Sitges.
It is a journey through the history of wines, ‘from the salinity of the sea, a necessary companion of Greek wines, to the infinity of the sky, whose stars guided sailors and Malvasia to the conquest of new markets’.
This giuided tour tells the story of the artistic and cultural heritage of the Museums of Sitges from the viewpoint of Malvasia wines – a ‘never-before told story, sweet and delicious, tailor-made for the occasion’ – and which culminates on the roof terrace of the museum, with cava or wine tasting of Blanc Subur, Monembasia and Malvasia dolça.

In its 25th anniversary, the ‘Sitgestiu’ festival offers over 30 events and activities that mix music, opera, jazz, family workshops, film screenings, sensory experiences, wine tasting dinners as well as many guided heritage and art tours, among others – and with many events also being offered in English.
