Sitges ‘Les Pruelles’ cemetry wins an environmental award

The municipal cemetery of Sitges, ‘Les Pruelles’, has won an award in the eighth edition of the national competition for cemeteries in the Best Environmental Initiative category.

The award is given by the magazine Adiós Cultura, which specialises in reflecting on death from a cultural perspective. The jury for the awards wanted to highlight the tasks of ‘improvement, innovation and respect for nature’ that have been carried out at the Sitges cemetry and which, according to their verdict, ‘make it a unique space’ among the rest of the cemeteries throughout Spain.
