The spectacular Festival Jardins Terramar kicks off in Sitges this weekend

The sixth edition of the Jardins Terramar Festival kicks off this Friday 28 July in Sitges, and runs until 9 August.

After the double inaugural concert featuring Suu and Els Amics de les Arts, Saturday sees the performance of Kraftwerk, considered one of the most influential groups of the electronic genre. Formed in Düsseldorf in 1970, the band eventually adopted a self-described ‘robot pop’ style that combined electronic music with pop melodies, sparse arrangements, and repetitive rhythms, while having a stylised image including matching suits. The concert in Sitges will be the only one they will be performing in Catalonia.

On Sunday 30 July, the iconic Sara Baras will offer her dance and flamenco show ‘Alma’, in one of the rare opportunities to see her outside the circuit of the main theatres of the world’s capital cities.

On Tuesday 1 August, the Colombian Manuel Turizo, the Latin artist of the moment, will offer his only concert in Catalonia, as part of his ‘2000’ world tour, which includes all of his hits.

The eclecticism of the artistic offering of the Terramar festival – always with an outstanding line-up of international artists, combined with the tourist brand attraction of Sitges – has been a key element in the exponential increase in ticket sales among the international public, reaching the provisional figure of 3,400 tickets sold specifically in this sector, which represents 20% of the total.

Many of these tickets are to see live the French singer-songwriter ZAZ (Wednesday 2 August), as well as the legendary Sir Tom Jones (Thursday 3 August) and Zucchero Fornaciari (Monday 7 August), who will be offering their only concerts this summer in Catalonia on the Terramar stage.

Malú, Niña Pastori, Blaumut, Fangoria with Nancys Rubias and finally Antonio Orozco complete the festival’s line-up, which this year promises to be a truly spectacular event. Click here for ALL TICKETS and further details.
