New roundabout on C-31 at Les Botigues will improve traffic safety

Construction work for a new roundabout on the C-31, where it passes through Les Botigues, is finally a reality.

During the next two months, the current traffic junction will become a new roundabout with better defined traffic lanes. The work is being financed by the Catalan Government, at a total cost of €383,166.05, responding to the request from Sitges Town Council for greater road safety.

The neighbourhood of Les Botigues and Rat Penat, who are frequent users of this link, have been demanding a new roundabout for years, in order to define the various traffic lanes that converge at this point.

The Councilor for Urban Planning of Sitges Town Council, Eduard Terrado Pablo, sad that ‘this work improves road safety not only for all Sitges residents, but also the safety of all users of this road. It is a long-term project requested by the neighborhood of les Botigues and Garraf who use this link every day and who often saw how traffic safety was not guaranteed’.
