Sitges Pride is back with over 80 events from 8-12 June

After a two year hiatus due to the Covid health crisis, Sitges is reactivating one of its most emblematic events in the LGTBI+ world.

What was previously known as Sitges Gay Pride, this year will be simply named Sitges Pride 2022 to be fully inclusive. The festival will be held from the 8-12 June and will be offering over 80 free events on the Passeig de la Ribera seafront.

The Gay Village will be an open space with a stage where attendees can enjoy performances and tribute acts of international artists. Cultural activities and social support events will also be scheduled. During the days, there will be the Gay Beach Party, a Boat Party on a catamaran, as well as a foam party.

Sitges Pride will culminate with a parade on Sunday 12 June, which will feature the participation of 20 floats and over 2,000 people.

The festival organisers are encouraging local businesses and hospitality venues to be part of the event by recommending tickets for attendees. Pride is one of the events with the greatest impact on the local economy and the one which, according to a study by Barcelona’s Regional Council, generates the most spending per participant.
