Bòbila roundabout now links Sitges C-32 centre exit to Vallpineda & La Plana

The urbanisation of the new area of La Bòbila in Sitges continues – within the overall development plans of La Plana and Santa Bàrbara.

The new roundabout was recently opened, which now connects the Sitges Centre exit of the C-32 with La Plana and Vallpineda. The access to Carrer Ramon Figueras from the new roundabout on Passeig Tramuntana has also been opened – and it has become a one-way street.

The works of the roundabout were carried out by the promoters themselves. A new shopping area is also to be built in this part of the town.

The province of Barcelona’s ‘Territorial Commission of Urbanisation’ issued a report in favour of the modification of the Sitges Municipal Urban Development Plan (POUM) in June 2016, and which allows for the construction of a commercial shopping zone in the Bòbila area of Sitges, where the land had initially been intended for residential use only. A shopping area with a 24-hour gas station will now also be built.
