Sitges tourist season starts with all the ‘chiringuitos’ allocated

Each of the three sites for ‘chiringuito’ beach bars in Sitges that had been left empty during the bidding process last year, already have a proposal awarded from the procurement board of the town council.

Sitges Town Council has complied with the deadlines set when starting the process of awarding the remaining beach bars, and has resolved the tender before the start of the tourist season with the imminent arrival of Easter.

With these remaining concessions, the beach season will now begin with all the services ready. One of the main novelties this year is that the beaches of Sant Sebastià and La Fragata will be smoke-free spaces. Smoking will still be allowed, however, at the terraces of the beach bars and access areas to the sand – but not on the beach itself.
