‘Jazz Antic Sitges’ celebrates 10 years with six days of concerts

The annual Sitges Jazz Festival (Jazz Antic) has returned to celebrate its first decade. Running from 28 March until 2 April, the town will again recover the spirit of the most traditional jazz, originating from the city of New Orleans, with 20 events and the presence of more than 100 musicians.

The Mercat Vell will once again be the main stage, with eight concerts and jam sessions, among other stages distributed throughout the town.

However, street music will once again be one of the main attractions of the event, where the traditional parade will be the highlight. This emblematic event will take place on Saturday afternoon, and congregate around 50 musicians, who will parade through the main streets of the town centre, with performers also distributed in different venues to entertain patrons with live jazz music.

On Sunday 2 April, the events of the festival will end with a commemorative concert of the 10 years at 12 noon at the Retiro with the New Orleans Pussycats, the trio that gave the starting shot for the first edition of the festival in 2013. Click here for a PDF of the full programme.
