The project for Aiguadolç auditorium is starting to take shape in Sitges

The project to build a municipal auditorium and a space for the creative and cultural industries in the Aiguadolç area of Sitges is starting to take shape.

The process will be long, however, and no one is able to establish any dates yet, not only when it could be completed, but not even when the works might begin. Several procedures will need to be carried out beforehand, and which will not be easy or quick.

The plans for the construction of a new auditorium on the Aiguadolç site where, since 1946, there has been a municipal football field, have already started to be presented.

In Madrid, the plans have already reached Spain’s Minister of Culture, Miquel Iceta. The Sitges local councillor for tourism and strategic projects, Luismi García, has also held meetings with officials from the minister’s team to assess the financial implications of the initiative. Forecasts indicate that during this year, a first draft of the whole project will be drawn up.
