Vehicles burned in a residential car park fire in Sitges

A fire in the car park of a building in El Vinyet area of Sitges also set fire to a car and two motorcycles inside. The events took place on Sunday in the early hours of the morning for unknown reasons.

Local firefighters received a warning at 8am that a fire was burning inside the car park, on Avenida de la Virgen de Montserrat 60. It is a building dating back to the 1970s, with a swimming pool. It is located between the Antemare and Subur Marítim hotels, on the second line of the sea.

The fire caused a vehicle and two motorcycles inside to be completely burned. No-one was injured, although several people were treated for inhaling smoke by the Emergency Medical Service.

Initially, some residents tried to put out the fire with extinguishers, but it was not until the arrival of several fire trucks that it was completely extinguished. In addition to the SEM, the local police also went to the scene.
