The Sitges Town Council’s department of economic promotion is hosting a number of free events and training seminars for entrepreneurs and companies this year.
Throughout 2022, there are specific trainings, seminars and courses being offered in the Training Room of the Sitges Economic Initiatives Centre (CIES) Level 10, although sessions will also be held in the Miramar cultural centre’s auditorium, or in other municipal spaces depending on the demand for capacity.
The local councillor for economic promotion, Guillem Escolà, said that his department is standing by ‘to help companies and entrepreneurs to be trained and be aware of new actions and market situations. The goal of this plan is to help keep businesses competitive and able to operate or start up with more strength and stability in these changing times’.
All courses are free but you must register in advance as places are limited.
There is one specific course being held in English called ‘Entrepreneurs Network’ and which will be held on Wednesday 4 May from 10h to 12 noon at the CIES Nivell 10 in c/Gabriel Pallarès, 12. You can click here to register .
This is a free activity with a specialist speaker and group participation for all new entrepreneurs. It is designed to raise awareness of the local resources available, to encourage participants and support them with the start up of their own new business venture. The programme of the event is as follows:
- A presentation of support services available from Sitges Town Council
- Steps needed to set up a new business
- Introduction to the business plan
- Introduction to necessary legal forms
- Introduction to the self-employed taxation system
- Subsidies available for entrepreneurs
- Financing routes for the creation of a new business venture
