AI and immersive stories at Sitges Next Conference

This Thursday 9th and Friday 10th May, Sitges Next will bring together some 20 presenters who are experts in the field of communication, from ‘creatives to strategisers’, marketing directors and product managers.

The festival, dedicated to promoting innovation in the communication of brands, agencies, start-ups and technological creators, take places in the Prado and is open to all by previous registration.

For the second consecutive year, Sitges Next 24 will be accompanied by the Impacte Awards and the Catalonia Marketing and Communication Night. Its alliance with the ‘Col·legi Oficial del Màrqueting i la Comunicació’ (Association of Marketing and Communication) aims to position Sitges as the capital of communication and a meeting point for professionals from all over the region.

This year, the festival is focusing on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on present and future communications. Various presentations and roundtables will address this topic and on Friday afternoon there will be what is known as a battle prompt: that is, an on-the-spot battle between creatives to come up with the most appealing images and campaigns, which all attendees can follow.

Apart from AI, the festival programme, put together by Enric Nel-lo, will focus on immersive stories, the digital spaces and reports that plot ways to communicate and position brands and products. The plotline focuses as much on the forms of the story as on its functions as a message.

Speakers will include the director of marketing of Heinz, Caio Fontenele, coming from London to take part; well-known creative Christian López, also coming from London; founder of the design studio Espadaysantacruz, Miguel Espada; and creative director specialised in AI, Laia Grassi, among others. On Thursday afternoon there is a session for entrepreneurs of Sitges and area, led by Camil Roca, with the title, How to get more out of my little brand.
