New Year’s Eve in Sitges celebrated ‘without significant incidents’

New Year’s Eve in Sitges was celebrated without any significant incidents, according to reports from the Local Police. The only problems that required police intervention were those caused by excessive noise and nuisance to neighbours during four private parties.

Several neighbours called the police, who then went to the homes where the incidents were taking place to ask them to reduce the noise. The officers also had to intervene in some music venues, which had exceeded the permitted decibels.

In addition to the noise complaints, other incidents included two people who required medical assistance due to excessive alcohol consumption, and the report of a driver who was charged for refusing to carry out a breathalyser test.
