Two youths arrested in Sitges for stealing a mobile phone

The Sitges local police arrested last Friday two young people, aged 17 and 19, who had just stolen a mobile phone.

The events took place in Carrer Sant Antoni, at 4.30am, and the offenders were arrested at around 6am.

The action of the police was provoked by a call made to the local force by a man who had just heard two youths talking near the railway station about the theft of a phone. Two patrol cars headed there and on the way they were stopped by another person, who informed them that he had been the victim of a robbery.

The agents caught up with the two suspected perpetrators of the theft in Paseo de Vilafranca and arrested them on the spot. The description of the youths fully coincided with what the anonymous caller and the victim had conveyed to the police. They were both taken the court.
