The Catalan government is to extend the C-32 Vallcarca toll discounts to up to 50% from 1 January 2023, as announced on Wednesday by the Minister of Territory, Juli Fernández, during the ‘Penedès Mobility Panel’, a body made up of different local and county administrations and the government itself. Until now, the reductions were up to 40%.
Beneficiaries of the discount will be users who make journeys on weekdays with a round trip of less than 24 hours in light four-wheeled vehicles. The increase in discounts compensates, especially, those who use the road for work trips. It is necessary to register as a user beforehand on the C-32 Sud concessionaire’s website: www.autopistas.com.
The Catalan government has also announced the section between Cubelles and Vendrell will become free from March 2023, and the administration of it will be taken over by the government itself. This measure aims to free up the C-31 as it passes through Cunit, Segur and Calafell, which often comes to a standstill because of traffic.
