‘State of Alarm’ – current restrictions across Spain

Spain has a current State of Alarm in place until 9 May 2021 and the government has recently said that it will not be extending it further beyond that date. The State of Alarm was initially declared last October to enable the regional governments the legal requirements to impose and enforce nighttime curfews and other restrictions, where required.

The Spanish Health Ministry imposed a perimeter closure for each region of Spain during the Easter period, in order to prevent ‘national tourism’. After 9 April, each region has returned to applying its own measures, in line with powers granted under the State of Alarm. Click here for all current details: Details of curfews & restrictions for all regions of Spain during ‘State of Alarm’
