The names of streets in Sitges will become more feminine and ‘festive’

The Carrer de Dolors Mirabent, Montserrat Almirall and María de la Luz Uribe or Sitges ‘Jardins Drac’ (Dragon Gardens). These are some of the street name proposals that the municipal government has drawn up in its nomenclature revision plan.

The local government board has approved this proposal, which aims to feminise the names of new streets, as well as some existing streets that are to be renamed, and also incorporate references from the town’s local fiestas and traditions.

Pending the approval of the Municipal Plan, the process of inviting citizen participation will be opened; in particular, for the residents of the affected streets, as well as of other groups, to know their opinion.
