Czechoslovakian wolfdog abandoned near the Sant Pere de Ribes stream

An abandoned dog of the breed known as Czechoslovakian Wolfdog has been living in the Sant Pere Ribes creek since the beginning of last week. The animal has been seen by the creek, and also in Mas Alba and Sitges.

Several volunteers and local police officers have tried to rescue him, but the dog is afraid of people and does not come close. However, he does interact with the other dogs with complete normality. The animal tends to hide during the day and, in the evening, when it gets dark, it roams around, and has been seen walking around the Passeig de la Circumval·lació.

Recently, two people have put messages on social media and also put up posters on lamp posts near the Ribes stream, claiming to be the owners of the dog. Firstly, a woman posted on Facebook in which she said she was the owner, acknowledging that the dog had been living in the wild since July, although the animal had only been seen since last week.

A man has also also put up posters on lamp posts in Ribes claiming ownership of the dog, stating that it had ran away when it was only nine days old after it had been rescued from a farm.

Currently, the dog remains lost in the area and no organisation has announced any action to try to rescue it.
