Sitges participates in the 48h Open House Architecture Festival

This weekend (21-22 October), Sitges is participating for the third consecutive year in the 48h Open House Architecture Festival, that has its roots in Barcelona.

This year, to enjoy the town’s historical heritage and give visibility to the architectural splendour of Sitges, the buildings are: Can Milà (Visitor Service Centre), Mercat Vell, Hotel Casa Vilella, Palau del Rei Moro, Hotel Romàntic, and the Prado Suburense Casino. There is also the Sitges Antic itinerary – a tour of buildings which, modified, extended, renovated and with a change of use, can be visited and which give an idea of what Sitges was like a thousand years ago.

These are also free guided tours (prior registration is necessary) of the Stämpfli Foundation and the exteriors of the Maricel complex, which will allow you to observe the different spaces currently occupied by the Museum, the Palace, the Historical Archive, and the Santiago Rusiñol Library.

Overall, there are 11 spaces and itineraries in the town that are participating in the 48h festival. For further details, visit: www.48hopenhousebarcelona.org. Click here for a PDF of the participating buildings in Sitges.
