Three ‘chiringuito’ beach bars in Sitges that were still pending to be assigned to concessionaires last year are about to be definitively allocated.
In the last board meeting of the town council on 31 January, marks were awarded to each of the 25 accepted proposals that have been presented, eight for the ‘chiringuito’ site on the Platja Terramar-La Barra, four for the Platja de La Barra (Levant) and 13 at Platja Balmins.
For now, however, the administrative process continues, as a series of bidders have submitted offers that have been declared ‘abnormal’ and they have been asked to justify their proposals. At the moment, there is no established calendar, but the goal is to start the season with the bars operating at full capacity in the style of the new beach model; a model that, despite the delays and tension at the start of last season, has ended up being positively evaluated.
