The Department of Environmental Action and Ecological Transition of Sitges Town Council has several plans for creating climate parks in various green areas of the town, as well as more sustainable spaces, in line with current environmental concerns.
A month ago, they started adapting the garden area of the Municipal Pool, and the transformation of the Hort de Can Falç is also planned. Other projects include a pilot test to replace the lawn areas of the promenade with native plants that are better adapted to the drought, referred to as the ‘Urban Tree Table’.
Recently, the Local Government Board (JGL) also approved the awarding of the draft and executive project for the adaptation of the Can Robert park as a climate park. The contract has been awarded to the company TDA Arquitectura y Urbanismo, and the total amount of the contract is €29,690.
