Application process for final phase of Sitges social housing is now open

Sitges Town Council has opened the application process for the first ten homes on its third and final phase of subsidised ‘social housing’ under its Officially Protected Housing (HPO) scheme.

These are the apartments intended for people at risk of vulnerability, or with profiles that require socio-educational assistance.

Eight of the homes are in the old ‘Cases dels Mestres’ building on the Carrer Sant Honorat, which the council has reformed for this social purpose, and two others are within the social housing developments carried out by the local government in La Plana area of Sitges. A further home is still be added, which will be included in the total 70 homes under the HPO scheme that the council is building on Carrer Lola Anglada, next to La Madriguera.

People interested in opting for any of the 70 homes must register in the Register of Housing Applicants, before 30 June. This final phase of 70 homes is added to the 105 already delivered in the first two phases.

People who take the first 10 homes that have been made available will have to pay a rent between 10 and 18% of their income. The council will apply a lower rate for emergency cases.

Requests to access these homes can be made until 18 May through the council’s electronic office or the Citizens’ Service Office. You can also click here for further information.
