The Sitges Local Police arrested a 22-year-old man in the early hours of Tuesday morning for an alleged ‘robbery with force’ at a sportswear establishment located on Carrer Artur Carbonell.
The robbery took place at night when the shop was closed, and the arrest took place in the same street.
A local police patrol that was carrying out an ordinary surveillance service in the area, observed a young man with a suspicious attitude, carrying a lot of clothes on his shoulder, while the alarm of the establishment was ringing.
The police were able to verify that the door of the shop had been forced to gain access to inside and the individual was arrested for a crime of alleged robbery with force. The police initiated proceedings to take the young man to court.
All of the stolen items, which add up to a value of nearly 600 euros, were recovered.
