Provisional lists for second promotion of Sitges HPO ‘social housing’ available

People who have met the requirements to qualify for the second promotion of subsidised ‘social housing’ under the Sitges Town Council’s Officially Protected Housing (HPO) scheme, can now consult the provisional lists of those who have been accepted on the council’s website. The lists can be found by clicking here.

The plan is to hold the final draw in mid-November and deliver the keys to the beneficiaries of the homes from December.

Back in June, Sitges Town Council held a ceremony to present the keys to the winners of the first 43 homes of social housing under the HPO scheme.

This second development with a total of 62 homes (in 4 buildings) is located at Calle Felip Font i Falp, 65 in Sitges. The homes are between 57 and 81 m2. It is estimated that the approximate monthly rent will be between 525 and 764 euros, community expenses not included. All the homes have outdoor spaces, a storage room, a parking space and AA energy certification, with an aerothermal and photovoltaic system.

Individuals or co-habitants registered under the scheme since 6 September, and who have not been allocated a home, can try for the third promotion of 70 HPO homes, on Carrer Lola Anglada, scheduled for 2023, as long as they meet the specific requirements. With the third promotion, the council will have promoted 175 homes during a single municipal mandate.

The HPO homes are rented for 7 years, renewable depending on whether the requirements set out in the rules continue to be met.
