Official figures released by the Spanish Health Ministry on Wednesday 27 May show that there have now been 27,118 Coronavirus-related deaths in Spain – an increase of 1 in 24 hours, compared to the figure released on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s figures had shown an overall adjusted increase of 283 deaths compared to Monday’s figure, which had already been adjusted down by 1,918 from the figure released on Sunday.

The Health Ministry said that Tuesday’s figures represented an increase of 35 deaths for a 7-day period. They now state that today’s figures represent an increase of 1 death in 24 hours, and 39 deaths in the past 7 days.

The official figure released on Wednesday 27 May for the total number of people who have tested positive for Coronavirus only through a PCR test was 236,769 – an increase of 231 over Tuesday.

Tuesday’s figure for the increase of infections only through PCR testing had been 194 over Monday. Monday’s figure had been 132 over Sunday. Sunday had been 246.
