Here’s some positive and uplifting news amidst all the doom and gloom about Coronavirus (Covid-19).
Sarah-Jayne Tobin, a journalist and broadcaster based in Dublin, posted a video of her son, Nathan, training as a goalkeeper in the back garden, in ‘self-isolation’.
‘When you’re a goalkeeper… and an only child… in self isolation… and trying to keep up with your training… [he] came up with this himself! I’m so impressed,’ she tweeted, together with the hashtag #StayHomeStaySafe
The video has now been seen over 6.7m times, and retweeted and commented on by some of the footballing world’s biggest stars – including David de Gea, Peter Schmeichel and Juan Mata García.
‘Nothing, not even an evil virus like the CONVID-19 should stop a talented goalkeeper from working on getting better,’ wrote Peter Schmeichel. ‘Well done young man!’
