Van Gogh’s world comes alive in Barcelona

The award-winning interactive ‘Meet Vincent van Gogh Experience‘ exhibition has finally arrived in Barcelona, allowing you to see, touch and listen to his works and his life.

From 14 March until 2 June, you can take a multi-sensory journey into the world-famous Dutch painter’s life as if you were actually living it.

The exhibition is making its premiere in the south of Europe as a literal pop-up inside a large marquee by the Barcelona port. Ticket-goers will be able to travel through six scenarios of van Gogh’s life.

Created by the experts of the Van Gogh Museum of Amsterdam, it displays over 10,000 elements via 17 projectors, more than 20 screens, over 300 light fixtures and 21 cameras.

The exhibition includes 3D sets picturing different scenes from the artist’s life such as his bedroom, the yellow house, Parisian cafés, wheat fields and many more.

Art-lovers will be able to interact with these iconic works of art, actually touching the traces and brush strokes made by the Dutch painter.

They’ll be able to ‘step inside’ his works, and to travel across borders and back in time to the places that inspired him.

When: 14 March – 2 June 2019

Where: Fira Port Vell, Pla de Miquel Tarradell, 08039 Barcelona
