The search for the missing 17-year-old in Sitges continues

The Mossos d’Esquadra sent out an alert on Wednesday morning, through the social network X (formerly Twitter), of the disappearance of a 17-year-old boy in Sitges, who was last seen on Monday 13 November during the afternoon in town.

The police included a description of Damien Treadwell and asked for the public’s cooperation in helping to find him. He is 1.75 metres tall, with a thin build and weighs approximately 65 kg. He has brown eyes and straight brown hair, shorter on the sides and back.

The father of the missing boy expressed his thanks for the show of support he has received on social media and has since started to carry out search attempts on his own, with acquaintances and local volunteers joining in to do the same.

He has even created an open WhatsApp group in which all possible new developments are being compiled. The areas where they are trying to locate the minor are in and around the centre of Sitges, as well as the areas of Vinyet, Terramar, Santa Barbara, La Plana, Vallpineda, from the Torres to Mas Alba, Llevantina, the golf area and the beaches, Aiguadolç, Quint Mar, Can Pei, Rocamar and the Garraf Park.

The Mossos d’Esquadra don’t normally notify all incidents of disappearances on social media, but in this case they sent out an alert due to there being several issues of a private nature that have made them take the decision.

Little is known about Damien’s friends, since sources close to the family say that he had been socially isolated in recent times, which leaves few avenues to work for the police.

Despite everything, the police are continuing to try and locate the teenager. They have confirmed that he disappeared without his mobile phone or a credit card, and this complicates finding his location, which is also why they have asked for the public’s cooperation. He also didn’t have any money, or clothes to change into, and he left a short note for his father before disappearing.
