Museo Thyssen showcases Amar Kanwar

The Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza in collaboration with the Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary TBA21 this week inaugurates a temporary show that includes two installations by Indian artist and film-maker Amar Kanwar.

The two works are The Sovereign Forest and The Lightning Testimonies, which both continue his approach of gathering testimonies from some of India’s most vulnerable people.

The Lightning Testimonies is a multi-channel installation that focuses on the sexual violence and kidnapping endured by members of different Indian cultures.
