Madrid Fashion Week holds first 2019 event

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWM) this week holds the first of its two 2019 events, which looks ahead to the Autumn/Winter 2019-2020 season.

Taking place once again at the Feria de Madrid and with the aim of promoting and supporting the Spanish fashion industry, Madrid Fashion Week features numerous runway shows from a range of designers, both established names and young up-and-comers.

Among those sharing their latest creations at this edition are Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Andres Sarda, Custo Barcelona, Angel Schlesser and Roberto Verino.

As well as the shows, the MBFWM programme also includes workshops focused on six of the greatest Spanish designers and meetings with influencers, while on 22 and 23 January, the OFF events feature a series of shows in other venues around the city.

The final day puts the spotlight on emerging designers with the Samsung EGO event.
