35-year-old man dies after getting trapped under a pile of manure in Castilla y León

A man died on Monday after getting trapped under a pile of manure while he was working on a pig farm in the northwestern province of Burgos (Castilla y León) in Spain.

The 35-year-old was reportedly unloading the animal manure with a tractor when, for reasons unknown and under investigation, the load came crashing down on him.

Castilla y León emergency services were first alerted about 1pm to the incident at the pig farm in the town of Madrigalejo del Monte.

First responders reached the man, but he had died at the scene.

Medical services were also dispatched to the scene, along with a team of firefighters and the Guardia Civil, but unfortunately they were only able to confirm the death of the worker.
