Hike + Bike the Sierras
We are Hike and Bike the Sierras, the only company in southern Spain to offer a comprehensive range of locally-developed, locally-managed activities for mountain bikers, cyclists, e-bikers, walkers and families.
We are based in Ronda in Andalusia, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, and close to the Sierra de las Nieves National Park and to two Natural Parks. Our goal is to show visitors the very best of this beautiful landscape, on 1-day cycling or walking tours, multi-day place-to-place tours and holidays based in Ronda. So whether you are planning an active holiday in Spain or are already in the Ronda or Costa del Sol areas, we have plenty of options for you to choose from.
Ronda is a historic and characterful town, perched on top of a dramatic 120-metre-deep gorge that is spanned by a stunning multi-arched bridge. Within only a short distance of the town are olive groves, farmland, rolling hills, mountain sierras and river valleys. The region is criss-crossed with a network of pathways, tracks and trails, many of which are hidden from view, but which provide fantastic mountain biking and walking. For road riding, there are smooth, twisting mountain roads throughout the area which offer great cycling for both the leisure rider and the enthusiastic ‘roadie’.
We have activities at all levels – from easy family cycling along a disused railway to exhilarating mountain biking through the wider landscape; from easy countryside walks to challenging mountain hikes. Our guided holidays and day tours are led by qualified and locally-based guides, or we can provide maps, GPS and bike rental for self-guiding. On our self-guided walking and cycling place-to-place tours, we also arrange luggage transfers and accommodation. On these tours you will visit pretty white villages and some of Andalucía’s most iconic towns – Seville, Cadiz, Jerez, Tarifa, Malaga and, new this year, Granada.
On all our bike rides and walks you will enjoy spectacular views, beautiful scenery and expert guidance. We welcome couples, groups, families, cycling clubs and senior riders to enjoy this wonderful landscape with us.
