Over 10.1 million PCR tests carried out in Spain since start of pandemic

The regional health authorities across Spain have carried out a total of 10,116,056 PCR diagnostic tests for Coronavirus (Covid-19) up to 1 October, according to figures released this week from the central Health Ministry.

The rate of PCR tests carried out to date has now risen to 214.78 per 1,000 inhabitants.

In addition to the PCR tests, the regional governments have also reported a total of 2,427,524 rapid antibody tests, at a rate of 51.54 tests per 1,000 inhabitants.

Furthermore, 1,146,196 antibody blood tests have also been performed, at a rate of 24.34 per 1,000 inhabitants.

In total, 13,689,776 diagnostic tests for Covid-19 have now been performed since the start of the pandemic in Spain, of which 960,072 correspond to the week from 25 September to 1 October.
