‘State of Alarm’ – Easter restrictions across Spain
Spain has a current State of Alarm in place until 9 May 2021. The State of Alarm was initially declared last October to enable the regional governments the legal requirements to impose and enforce nighttime curfews and other restrictions, where required.
The Spanish Health Ministry has confirmed the perimeter closure for each region of Spain during the Easter period, in order to prevent ‘national tourism’. The measures apply to all mainland Spain; the Balearic Islands and Canary Islands are exempt from the restrictions.
