Analysing the origins and evolution of video games, Gameplay offers a space to reflect on the influence of video game culture on society. The exhibition explores how video games have evolved historically from an entertainment medium to the increased gamification of society: from educational games and the so-called serious games to the more recent phenomena of YouTubers and gamers.  Including over forty audiovisual displays, the exhibition also includes local research projects as well as installations by international artists.  Tuesday to…

In January 1919, the Center Excursionista de Catalunya (CEC) presented one of the first exhibitions of ancient and modern maps made in Catalonia. The exhibition was organised on the occasion of the campaign for the Statute of Autonomy. One of the proposals of the Statute was to establish a county division, which is why the map became fundamental: a good cartographic base was needed to delimit a new administrative division.
