The promoter Terra Music & Events, organiser of the Terramar CaixaBank Festival in Sitges, has announced the first names of the line-up for the 8th edition of the music festival, which this year will take place from 25 July until 10 August.
The opening concert will be given by the legendary Californian band The Beach Boys, who for almost six decades have been part of the history of American music, influencing world music culture with classics such as Surfin’ USA, Wouldn’t It Be Nice or Good Vibrations.
On 26 July it will be the turn of the performer and actress Ana Belén, one of the female voices that has impacted the Spanish music and film scenes in recent decades, who after six years returns to the stage with the Más D Ana tour, with which she will review the greatest hits of her repertoire and premiere songs from her new work, scheduled for this year.
On 27 July, French singer ZAZ, author of worldwide hits such as Je Veux and On Ira, will present a new album as part of her international tour, following her acclaimed concert at the festival in 2023. The artist, who is a benchmark in her country’s music, stands out for her fusion of French chanson and manouche jazz like no one else.
On 5 August, it will be the turn of Duncan Dhu 40 años, the tour of the group’s greatest hits from the album Por Tierras Escocesas (1984) to El Duelo (2013) with Mikel Erentxun at the helm.
On 6 August, the festival will witness the surprising and highly anticipated tour of Lax’n’Busto, the Catalan band recovering its historic line-up twenty years later, incorporating its original vocalist, Pemi Fortuny.
The last part of the festival sees more unmissable acts.
On 7 August, Sara Baras will present Vuela, the new show in which the prestigious dancer pays tribute to Paco de Lucía.
On 8 August, Pecos will star in one of the most impressive returns of the season with their Dos Voces y una Historia tour, which includes the greatest hits of their recording career.
The latest name revealed by the organisers is that of the tireless Kool & the Gang, the legendary American band that will perform on 9 August on the stage of the Terramar Gardens, playing hits that transcend time, such as Celebration, Ladies’ Night, Get Down on It or Fresh, among others.
In the coming weeks, the promoter Terra Music & Events will be revealing new acts that will complete the programme of the 8th edition of the Terramar CaixaBank Festival.
Tickets for the first confirmed artists announced today will be available to the public starting this Monday 10 February, at 10am, on the festival’s official website www.FestivalTerramarCaixaBank.com
