Modernist ‘a cappella’ concert with wine tasting to end ‘Sitgestiu Festival’

The Sitges Museums’ cultural festival, known as ‘Sitgestiu’, will draw to a close this Saturday 31 August with a unique Modernist ‘a cappella’ concert with wine tsating from the local Malvasia winery.

The performance by the ‘Ensemble Vocal Cambra 16’ will take place at the Racó de la Calma and is billed as a ‘paired concert that aims to embody the soul and symbolism of the Modernist Fiestas of Sitges’.

It will include an important presence of music by Enric Morera and several artists ‘who are either contemporary or who belong to this romantic and post-romantic trend’ – including Andreu Miret as solo tenor and Joan Garrobé on guitar.

The wines will be Ancestral 1324 (limited edition), Llegat Llopis and Malvasía Dolça – all from the local Malvasia winery.

The performance will last approximately an hour and 15 minutes, and tickets are priced at €23.

The Sitges Museums festival has hosted a total of 37 very diverse events and activities for all tastes during the months of July and August, and with many events also in English.
