The current crisis with the high cost of electricity will also have an effect on the Christmas lights in Sitges this year.
The town will have 329 lights for this Christmas season with a total power of 19kW. This will mean a reduction both in the number of lights, which last year stood at 400, and in the contracted power, which reached approximately 26kW.
The lighting used in the town is a Led system with low-consumption bulbs. In addition to the reduction in lights to be used, decoration will also incorporate elements without lighting, but which have the ability to reflect light. In addition, these elements maintain their decorative spirit during the day, when the lights are off.
