Man arrested in Sitges for alleged gender violence

The local police of Sitges arrested a man late last week for an alleged case of gender violence, which took place in a hotel in Sitges.

The person who reported the incident did so at 2.48am, when screams and blows were heard in a room. The intervention of the police at the scene and the evidence that an assault had taken place led to the arrest of the man. The victim, a 31-year-old woman, showed signs of physical injuries, and the individual who was arrested tried to resist being detained by the officers.

The detainee will also be investigated for a crime of resistance and serious disobedience towards the police, and was transferred to the police station of Vilanova i la Geltrú, awaiting trial.
