Sitges brawl ends up requiring police intervention

Agents from the Sitges local police force and also from Catalonia’s Mossos d’Esquadra had to intervene in a fight between two men on the Carrer Sant Bartomeu, shortly after 11pm on Tuesday night.

One of the two individuals – who, according to the police report, was found to be under the influence of ‘some substance’ – had to be transferred to the Hospital Sant Camil with minor injuries.

The events happened inside a restaurant on the Carrer Sant Bartomeu and then continued outside, on the corner with Sant Gaudenci.

The fight began inside the premises, and then continued outside with more aggression. Neighbours who saw how one of the two individuals was holding the other by the neck, called the local police, who sent two patrols within a few minutes.
