Sitges Town Council launches ‘Your Neighbourhood’ project

The Sitges Town Council’s programme of ‘Your Neighbourhood’ started this week with the participation of residents from four local neighbourhoods – Montgavina, Vinyet, Quint Mar and Cases Noves.

The aim of this initiative, promoted by the council’s department of citizen participation, is to provide support to create a network and expand the fabric of neighbourhood associations, promoting specific actions to improve participation and also create a roadmap that allows these entities to resolve and respond to different existing needs.

The programme consists of six meetings over the coming months, three of which are joint, and three will be individual working groups with each of the neighbourhoods. The project is expected to be completed in November.

The launch of the ‘Your Neighbourhood’ project is the result of the department of citizen participation contacting residents of the different neighbourhoods through institutional channels, visits and face-to-face meetings, calls and emails, in order to inform them of the programme and invite them to participate.
