Aiguadolç area in Sitges now has a new children’s playground

A new children’s playground has been opened this week in the Plaça Josep Roca Pons, located in the ‘Plans d’Aiguadolç’ neighbourhood. These are wooden facilities with a slide, a two-seater swing and three more structures for children’s games.

The surface of the playground is of earth and the perimeter is fenced in for safety and security. The park is located almost in front of the Mossos d’Esquadra police station, in a square built ten years ago, when the surrounding buildings were put up.

Up until now, the Aiguadolç district did not have any children’s play areas, despite being a substantial area and having been urbanised for more than 40 years. A previous playground was opened almost two years ago at the other end of the town, in the ‘La Plana’ development next to Can Pei. That play area was included within the entire development plans and carried out by the promoters.
