Registrations for nightlife clinical trial now closed, with over 500 applications

Over 500 people from the comarcas (counties) of Garraf, Alt Penedès, Baix Llobregat and the cities of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat and Barcelona applied to participate in the clinical study that will take place in Sitges this Thursday 20 May. Of those applications, 400 will end up participating in the study.

As reported last week, the trial will be carried out on the Carrer Primer de Maig in Sitges, popularly known as ‘Carrer Dos de Maig’ or ‘Carrer del Pecat’ (and even ‘Sin Street’) – and will consist of closing the perimeter area of the bars where the study will be carried out, as well as guaranteeing all the measures of health security.

There will be hand gel disinfectant points and it will also be mandatory to wear the face masks that will be given to the participants, just before the start of the trial. They must only be taken off in order to drink. On Thursday, those taking part will also undergo an antigen test just before entering the area. They will then undergo a second test six days after the clinical trial.
