Can Milà will become a new centre to attract both tourism and talent

Can Milà, the impressive masia on Passeig de Vilafranca, at the entrance to Sitges, will soon become a technical hub for social digitalisation in order to attract both tourism and talent to the town. This is perhaps the most prominent project that the Sitges Town Council will present to obtain funding from European Next Generation funds.

The ground floor of the building will house the visitor centre. Tourists will be able to know in real time the status of accommodation, restaurants, beaches, leisure or excursions in Sitges, as well as a mobile app which will collate all information within minutes.

‘To attract quality tourism, we must offer precisely quality and difference,’ said Luismi García, local councillor for tourism. The masia, which on the first floor will have a large meeting room for various events and exhibitions, will also cater to cultural and technological companies that are considering settling in Sitges.

On the same plot, owned by the municipality, the town council plans to build a new three-storey infrastructure that will house a centre for digital skills and training in new technologies.
