Terramar Festival presents a top line-up of Spanish and Catalan artists

This year’s Terramar Festival will see some of the most prominent Catalan artists on the music scene in recent decades, such as Sopa de Cabra and Manel, and some of the most important and relevant artists of Spanish pop, such as Los Secretos, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Amaral and Fangoria. Taking place between 29 July and 13 August, the festival looks more at home than ever in Sitges, and with a first-class line-up.

The Covid-19 pandemic and on-going travel restrictions have forced the organisers of the festival to opt for Catalan and Spanish groups. It is the same strategy being adopted by most festivals this summer, including the Cap Roig (in Calella de Palafrugell). The resulting line-ups will satisfy most tastes, especially the elder generations.

In addition to pop groups, the festival also hosts a number of top solo artists with their own identity, such as Rosario, Sergio Dalma, Antonio Orozco (who resides in Sitges), Sílvia Pérez Cruz and Mónica Naranjo. The festival will also be attended by the renowned violinist Ara Malikian, who performed at the festival in 2017, as well as El Barrio and the God Save the Queen tribute band.

The health measures for Covid-19 will also influence the format of the festival, with the organisers already reducing capacity by 50%, meaning that there will be a maximum of 1,100 tickets on sale for each concert.

The line-up of the festival was presented by its co-director, Joan Ramon Rodríguez, and local councillor for culture, Xavier Salmerón.
