A fight in ‘Can Perico’ requires police intervention and medical assistance

On Saturday early evening, a fight broke out between two young people at the roundabout area known locally as ‘Can Perico’, in front of one of the two Chinese bazaar shops. Although the cause of the fight has not been specified, it required the action of local police, as well as medical intervention.

One of the young men involved in the fight was under the influence of alcohol when struck on the face by the other youth – resulting in a broken nose. The attacker also suffered injury, namely bruising.

The fight started at around 7pm and lasted several minutes, drawing the attention of a man who was passing through the area – and who called the police.

Moments later, two units of local police patrols appeared and broke up the fight. The police also called an ambulance, which shortly afterwards took the young man with the bloodied face to the Sant Camil hospital in Sant Pere de Ribes. The attacker has been be sanctioned by the local police.
