‘Sitges in English’ – our new joint venture with ‘L’Eco de Sitges’

We’re delighted to announce the official launch of Sitges in English, our joint venture with the award-winning newspaper, L’Eco de Sitges, together with its edition for Sant Pere de Ribes, published by Premsa de Sitges SL.

You can click here to read further details (in Catalan) announced by L’Eco de Sitges.

L’Eco de Sitges is one of the oldest local weekly newspapers in Catalonia, published and distributed in Sitges since 1886. Published every Friday, it can be purchased at kiosks in Sitges, Sant Pere de Ribes and Vilanova i la Geltrú, and has a loyal and growing subscriber base. In 2011 it was awarded the prestigious Catalan award, the Creu de Sant Jordi (St.George’s Cross) – and in 2020 the Premi Nacional de Premsa.

Sitges in English is for anyone living in Sitges, visiting Sitges, moving to Sitges, working, studying or doing business in Sitges – and for anyone else who has an interest in what’s happening and what’s on in Sitges.

Sitges in English is an online publication, a dedicated section here on our main site of Spain in English, and with a very active and strong presence across social media. We will be publishing news in English from L’Eco de Sitges every day, as well as regular features on travel, propertyculture, food & drinkeducation, sporthealth & fitness, finance, business, tech and lifestyle – plus a calendar of forthcoming events and a comprehensive business directory.

In the printed L’Eco each Friday, meanwhile, and starting on Friday 26 March (in both the Sitges and Ribes editions), there will be at least two pages published in English, not only featuring a selection of some of the articles published online during the week, but with further exclusive content from a wide range of contributors.

Here’s how YOU can get involved with Sitges in English:

If you would like to contribute an article, either an opinion piece for the printed L’Eco or a wider feature for the online Sitges in English, please email us at: editorial@spainenglish.com.

If you are holding a local event and would like to include it on our Events Calendar, also email us the details to: editorial@spainenglish.com.

You can also promote your business or services on the Sitges/Ribes Business Directory as a FREE basic listing – or a FEATURED LISTING for a nominal annual fee, to include summary, description, six photos, business logo, website link, address, email and telephone contact, as well as Google Maps support. We will also help to promote you on social media. You can click here for further details or email your business details to admin@spainenglish.com

If you would like to advertise with us, we do not publish a fixed rate card to advertise on our site (other than for our Business Directory). We prefer to work with clients on an individual basis, tailoring a promotion to your specific budget, requirements, target audience and timing. We can offer sponsored and ‘spotlight’ articles, banner advertising, social media promotion and much more – and you will be delighted by our rates and the response that you will generate. We occasionally also come on board as ‘media partners’ to help promote events. One way or another, we’re sure that we can work together! Further details can be found by clicking here.

Readers can also join our dedicated Facebook Group Page for Sitges – and also follow us on Twitter and Instagram. Thank you for reading and we hope you enjoy Sitges in English.
