La Liga round-up (28 Sept)

All clubs have finally now played at least one match in La Liga’s new season – with Lionel Messi scoring in his first game since he tried to leave Barcelona – yet then finally accepting that he would have to see out the final year of his contract.

New Barça coach Ronald Koeman began his campaign with a 4-0 defeat of Villarreal on Sunday.
