The Christmas and New Year holiday season is just around the corner, and there’s no better place to celebrate it all in style than experiencing the timeless elegance of the Fairmont hotel in Barcelona.

This festive season executive chef Claudio Aguirre has created a delight for all the senses in each of the unique celebration menus.

Taking inspiration from traditional dishes combining unparalleled local produce and international flavours, the hotel’s festive dining menus reflect the very essence of Barcelona itself – both traditional and contemporary.

You can indulge yourself with not only a full range of delicious Christmas menus but also a special celebration for New Year’s Eve inspired by Surrealism.

The hotel’s elegant and cosy Restaurant B·24 is located in the centre of an impressive atrium, and offers an ideal setting for those celebrating the holidays with their loved ones.

The decoration was carried out by the prestigious London studio Richmond Design Hospitality. Its objective was to create a bright and lively atrium that would reflect the local squares of Barcelona and the Mediterranean lifestyle with subtle influences of Catalan culture and art.

Lovers of excellent cuisine can also enjoy a wide selection of wines, cocktails and soft drinks at any time, since Restaurant B·24 is open 24 hours a day, every day of the week.

Christmas Menus

From the magnificent Christmas Dinner menus to Christmas Brunch and the Boxing Day menus, you’ll discover a feast of delicacies with alternatives for all tastes – from traditional roast turkey to the freshest fish, from vegetarian and vegan options to a sumptuous selection of desserts.

From lobster bisque, roasted seabass with cockles, beef medallions with mushrooms, chestnuts, foie shavings and shallots sauce – to traditional free-range chicken cannelloni, with parmesan cream and truffle, the Christmas and Boxing Day menus offer something for all tastes.

All this whilst seasonal piano music plays in the background and a live DJ set will ensure a true festive atmosphere.

New Year’s Eve

In a tribute to the local Surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, the New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner offers dishes inspired by his creativity, using the best local produce.

You’ll discover the Port Lligat egg and the Strawberry Lips (Cadaqués-style sponge cakes) conceived as a homage to Dalí‘s work – and you’ll delight in a unique dinning experience.

The Gala Dinner will be served in the hotel’s Marenostrum lounge, a magical night that will start with a lavish and creative aperitif, with traditional favourites and fresh Asian flavours.

From Iberian ham to textures of foie, caviar and a delicious range of sushi as an appetiser, the celebration will then continue with a tasting menu style dinner inspired by the creativity of the Surrealists and interpreted by the hotel’s talented culinary team.

Oysters of Bouzigues (South of France) with their toppings.

The dinner will be accompanied by live music and  also includes the 12 ‘lucky’ grapes , a Spanish tradition to ring in the New Year.

A live band will perform in the Marenostrum Ballroom until 12.30am – and the party then continues with an open bar in the B·24 bar of the same hotel.

On New Year’s Eve there is also a Gala Buffet in the Restaurant B·24 – a delicious gastronomic experience showcasing local produce for those who prefer a more relaxed celebration.

Oysters, lobsters and fresh fish, Catalan-style rice, cured jamón, beef and more, followed by a spectacular dessert buffet with traditional and surrealist inspired sweet treats.

The Hotel Fairmont‘s delicious festive menus continue on New Year’s Day itself, and also for the Three Kings celebrations (Los Reyes) on 6 January.

There are also some fantastic accommodation packages to choose from. Check out their spacious guest rooms and elegant suites to bring in 2020 in style with their exclusive celebration packages.
