Barcelona contemporary dance festival returns

Barcelona’s cutting-edge event dedicated to contemporary dance, Sâlmon< Festival, returns on 22 January for its 7th edition.

The festival’s organisers have announced that this year sees Sâlmon< in a process of transition with the aim of making it even more open and collective in the future, as well as a festival of ‘living arts’ that has different Barcelona venues sharing the responsibility for its management.

The acts taking part in 2019 focus on experimentation, research and adding value to the process of choreography.

It’s also been designed as a place where different communities – artists, the general public and professionals – can come together to explore concepts of dance and creativity.
